Last November, our twins, Maddie and Lennie, became very poorly with RSV and bronchiolitis and were both admitted to hospital.

At home Lennie stopped breathing in my arms and his dad and I had to give him resuscitation. Then a few days after, Maddies condition also deteriorated, she suffered a collapsed lung and unfortunately she needed to be put on a ventilator. She was rushed to St Mary’s hospital in london and sent to PICU care leaving her twin brother recovering in the local hospital.

This is where the cosmic charity helped immensely. Cosmic provided me as a parent with wonderful accommodation so I was able to be by her bedside each day. They also provide support such as counselling and advice for parents going through one of the most difficult times of their life’s. The charity also goes above and beyond to help provide life saving equipment that the NHS simply cannot afford and they provide training for healthcare professionals.

This charity is very close to my heart and i cannot thank them enough for helping to save our daughters life, so now is my chance to give something back, which is why i’m running the half marathon. Who knows how i’m going to find the time to get in all the training but this is something I feel I need to do. I would be most grateful for any donations even the smallest amounts would help an amazing cause.
