Story
On the 13th of March our friend Jodie was admitted to Huddersfield ICU with sepsis and pneumonia.
Her organs failed and she was put into an induced coma. The doctors and nurses worked tirelessly to save her life and against all odds Jodie’s is now home with her little boy Teddy and fiancé Sam.
She spent 45 days in the intensive care unit, Jodie had to learn to how to walk, drink and eat again. Her recovery journey is not over yet.
Her family and friends will forever be in debt to these special people who fought so hard to bring Jodie home.
We know not all cases like this have such a happy ending so we are raising money for the intensive care unit so they can continue to support local families.
Jodie & Sam have postponed their wedding this year to give Jodie time to recover. On what would have been Sam & Jodie’s wedding day the 19th August a group of friends are doing a 20k route not far from the wedding venue in North Yorkshire. Jodie may even meet us at the finishing line!
Please show your support no matter how small for such a worthwhile cause as we wish Jodie a speedy recovery ❤️🩹
