Story
Our Outswim an Ambulance challenge:
Station - Community First Responder challenge
Mileage - 15 miles
Timescale - 3 months
Jo, Tori, Geraldine and the Kates are challenging themselves to wild swim 15 miles in 3 months. They will meet for a team race event at the Alton Water Reservoir swim on 9th June 2024 to hit a third of their target. The team are all linked to the East of England Ambulance service as either staff or volunteers.
The East of England Ambulance Service staff and volunteers really go the extra mile to keep us all safe during challenging times. Please support us to go the extra mile for them and their patients by taking on the 'Outswim an Ambulance' challenge.
East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) provides emergency and urgent care, as well as patient transport services across 7,500 square miles and serving over 6.2million people in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
You donations will be used to support volunteers, staff, patients, and local communities above and beyond what the NHS trust can provide. These include projects such as the Unmet Needs scheme which supports struggling patients in the community, volunteer community first responder roaming cars with specialised falls equipment which provide pre-ambulance 999 call support due to being in local areas, wellbeing gardens and rooms to help support staff after traumatic calls and more.
Thank you for your support and wish us luck!
