I am running and raising money for Beatson Cancer Charity this year. As one of my very dear and close friends, who is classed as family got diagnosed with terminal cancer in July, just this year. The Beatson has been such a huge support to her and her family, like it has been to millions of others who have had to suffer and fight this horrible and heart breaking illness.

I want to run to help raise as much money as possible to support this fantastic charity which is a huge life line to not only my friend but millions of others out there who have to live and fight cancer on a daily basics.

I have set myself up for a bit of a challenge this year and I am very late to the party and done zero training at all because I was going through IVF at the start of the year and told not to run to give myself the best chance of it working, which it didn't. Just as I got that awful news that it didn't work I fell and injured my knee and couldn't run for 7 whole weeks.

So the challenge is on and if my friend can fight cancer every day with a smile on her face, with the most positive attitude she has ever had and fight and determination in her soul to kick cancers butt and, live life the best she possible can, taking it all in her stride!! Then I can get my butt in gear in 6 weeks and cross the finish line to support her and to support this amazing charity!!!

So please get behind me and support an amazing cause, I know times are tough the now but they are always tougher for others! If we work together, supporting these amazing charities, we wont change the world but we may change the world for one person making life that little bit easier, more bearable and a happier place to be.

I haven't named my friend as she hasn't made it public knowledge and its not my place to but I just want to say, your doing an amazing job, I'm so proud of you, keep going girl, we are all behind you, here for you and love you millions and billions!!
