Royal Parks Challenge 50km Walk, 17 August 2024

We will be visiting all London Royal Parks in a single day, treking along the banks of the River Thames to cover this challenging 50km distance trek.

Story

My partner Simon and I lost our twin boys, Gabriel and Jude, in September 2022. It was - and still is - completely devastating.

In my darkest moments, I have been comforted and supported by the amazing Sharon and Suzie, who founded Footprints Baby Loss Twin and Triplet Support in January this year.

Footprints is a lifeline for families experiencing twin and triplet loss, through online services and befriending, grieving parents are supported by people with lived experience of twin loss.

It has been a lifeline for me, as I have looked to find some meaning in the aftermath of what has happened. I have been supporting Footprints as a fundraising volunteer since it launched and so, in August I will be walking 50km / 28 miles across all 10 Royal Parks, to raise vital funds. As a new charity, Footprints rely on donations to deliver their services and to make sure that they remain free to access for those who need them.

I will be walking in memory of Gabriel and Jude and all of the babies of the families I have met through Footprints and to support this amazing charity who have supported me so much over the last 18 months.

Please help me to reach my target and donate what you can today, any amount will make such a difference.

And next time you see two magpies, please do think of my lovely lost boys x
