Story
Hi,
For those of you who don’t know my story. In May 2023 after a friend advertised action cancer mammograms for ladies in their 40s, I went along. I received a letter a week later to say I needed to be seen at the breast care clinic and I got my urgent referral to the Ulster. As I had no symptoms, I was not overly worried about this appointment!
On 4th July 2023 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy in August and radiotherapy in October.
I think of myself as very lucky to have been diagnosed so early and with as straightforward a treatment plan as could be.
I would like to raise money for the invaluable service Action Cancer do. With no symptoms, there’s a good chance my cancer would have developed further before the health service checks commence in your 50s.
To do this I’m taking part in this abseil on the year anniversary of ringing the bell for the end of my radiotherapy. Any donation is really appreciated! Thank you for reading my story xx
