It was always a NO, a very firm NO, then something bizarre happened and I found myself signing up for a Marathon - not just any Marathon, but the 45th London Marathon.

Now ....

Lets not be under any illusion, when we talk running, I'm not a runner, merely a plodder, and that's on a good day, but in the words of my good friends and family, its achievable, just take the day as it comes, enjoy the atmosphere and you'll get to the end!

Well ... heres bloody hoping that's the case!

There wont be some daft outfit on the day, just a smile and a Havens Hospice T-Shirt, and its for them I kindly ask for your donations.

Dont panic -

I'm sure, in fact I know there will be some mad outfits on the lead up to the day, maybe a penguin or 2 at a local Park Run, a Quiz night collaboration with other Team Havens Runners, maybe even the odd cake sale & Raffle, but no matter what, every penny raised will go to Havens Hospices and there invaluable work, and its with that in mind I thankyou all in advance for your generous donations, every penny truly counts!

For now I sign off, knowing that at the time of writing, I have several months, of not sleeping and many miles ahead of me, but I will and do promise to keep you updated!
