Story
I've always wanted to run the London Marathon and a few years ago I started training for it when I got a knee injury. Sadly I still have a weakness in my knee that has prevented me from running again. But I do walk every day and have good stamina. So my plan is to FAST WALK the London Marathon with a target time of 6.5 hours (that means 15 minutes per mile).
I will be undertaking exactly the same arduous training schedules as runners, building up the distance over time and committing many hours to it through the winter months. It's not for the fainthearted. At the same time, I'll be rigorously doing my knee exercises so that it is strong enough to cope with this 26-mile challenge.
Please sponsor me as I take on this mammoth task. As usual, I will be running for Child Rescue Nepal - an amazing children that rescues children from slavery in Nepal and supports them to get their lives back on track.
A thousand thank yous for your support over the years, and for supporting me now in this endeavour. xxx
