Story

On 8th September I am going to be running my first half marathon – the Great North Run – alongside my cousin Ellie, and I am hoping to raise some money for an amazing charity called Headway. Last year I spent several months volunteering at their Worcestershire centre each week and saw first-hand the incredible work that they are doing. The charity supports people who have acquired brain injuries and helps them navigate life post-injury with the monumental change and challenge that it brings. Through art therapy, counselling, inclusive sports and many other services that they provide, the centres across the country truly make a difference to people’s lives. It is for this reason that I am dedicating my run to this charity, and any donations that you can spare will be so appreciated.

With many thanks,

Jo
