On the 7th of June I am getting out of my comfort zone and taking part in an abseil to raise money for the much needed redevelopment of Rotherham Minster

I am going to be descending 150 feet from the bell tower right into the very heart of the Minster. This will be particularly challenging as I am scared of heights!

The Minster is a really important part of Rotherham and does great work to support thousands of people each year through many initiatives, including its food bank and musical outreach work.It stands right in the centre of town , a magnificent building that is unique, I feel, in it’s ability to serve as an accessible space and venue for events for the community to enjoy such as the recent’Otherham’ light festival and the moon exhibit which thousands of people enjoyed attending. I feel passionately about preserving this asset for future generations of Rotherham folk.The proposed plans to create space and utilise the building for the future wellbeing of the community are so very encouraging and promising ! Please be a part of the Minster’s present and future by donating and subsequently contributing to keeping this fantastic inclusive and welcoming building, in heart of Rotherham , beating .
