The Rudolph Run is a fun run/walk for your pupils to get into the festive spirit, all whilst raising money for Isabel Hospice.

Story

Herts & Essex High School's Rudolph Run is in memory of Miss Joanne Watson, a wonderful, funny, talented member of staff, who very sadly passed away in October. A fine teacher of Maths, much-loved form tutor, choreographer in school musicals, expedition leader for DofE group, her contribution to school life is a long and impressive list.  Miss Watson left a lasting impact on those who knew her.  The loss of this kind, inspirational, generous young woman is being felt deeply by all members of our community.

We are running in support of Isabel Hospice, to help them continue to deliver their vital palliative care services to anyone in eastern Hertfordshire who needs them. Their help was invaluable for Jo and her family.

Their palliative care and support services are done through their Hospice at Home Team, In-Patient Unit, Community Team, Living Well with Isabel programme, and their Family and Bereavement support service.

To be able to continue to provide their services free of charge to those who need them, they need to raise £7 million every year. The NHS fund 30% of this, the rest relies on the community, government grants, and their retail stores.
