Race to See the Rise

Race to the Rise
I've signed up for the biggest challenge of my life; to trek Scafell Pike, Englands highest mountain in the Lake District, through the night in total darkness to catch the morning sunrise. ⛰️
Jo’s Race to See the Rise will see me set off from the foot of Wasdale after midnight 21st June in a bid to reach, entirely on-foot, the summit.
All the ups and downs of my challenge will be captured and documented throughout.
"I've only got 5% vision left in both eyes, and my body will be under immense pressure-- but I want to do it. Usher syndrome doesn't ask for permission. It flips our world upside down, and forces us to find an inner strength we didn't even know we had".
I'll be with a team of professional guides, and with some amazing backing so far. So if anyone would like to join me on this incredible adventure- please DM and I can arrange charity discount with the organisers.
Who's in?
I'll be sharing updates of my personal fundraising challenges throughout the year; if joining us to see the sunrise isn't your thing, you can bake and watch the dough rise instead.
Whichever way you choose to help- please do.
