Story
Dan and I (together with a few intrepid members of our church) are trekking 26.2 miles across the South Downs for St Andrew's on 21st April! I have never done a marathon before. I usually have to be dragged around a 5k. I may need a "magnum a mile" to get to the finish line BUT I am doing it for my church and my community. This church has held me at my worst and enabled me to celebrate at my best. I've been welcomed, loved and shown God in more ways than I can count. And I want to see the building be the best it can be for all those who need it. So please support me by sponsoring me to help me serve my church and my community.
Blurb about what we are doing below!
St. Andrew's stands as a beacon of hope, bringing people together from all walks of life to worship, enjoy friendship and to serve the community.
Throughout the week it provides a number of free, inclusive activities including a kids and adult choir, youth group, coffee mornings, brunches and warm welcome hubs.
These activities make our spiritual home a bastion against poverty and isolation. But this bastion is physically crumbling!
Currently lacking essential facilities such as a kitchen and toilet, and burdened with outdated, environmentally unfriendly heating, we are eager to embark on a transformative journey to make our church a more inclusive and accessible hub for all whilst highlighting the beauty and heritage of the building. Part of this journey is a 26.2 mile walk on 21st of April. It's going to be hard but we're doing it because we love our church and we love our community. Please sponsor us!
