Dive in memory of David George, 18 August 2023
Are you a thrill seeker? Ever thought of diving out of a plane at 11,000ft? Abseiling down a 160ft drop? Or even taking the leap of faith and bungee jumping? Well say hello to Dare for Derian 2023!

Story

I'm "daring for Derian" in 2023 by taking on their tandem sky dive! All sponsorship raised from this will go towards providing respite and end of life care to children with life-limiting or life-shortening conditions across the North West of England.

I'm doing this event, as a challenge (someone might have to stamp on my fingers to make me let go of the plane!) which I can definitely do - terrifying, but possible, haha. This year is both 30 years of Derian, and would have been David George's 5th birthday, so that is why I've signed up. We discovered David George had anencephaly when we went for our 12 week ultrasound scan. This condition is classified as "incompatible with life", so we feel privelidged to have been able to spend that one overnight with him after he was born, and are so pleased that Derian allowed us that bit of extra time to say our goodbyes.
