When I was younger I always wanted to do a skydive. Not so much as I've gotten older, I mean why would I jump out of a perfectly good plane into the nothingness of air, with someone else in charge of the parachute? Madness!

I am not the sort of person who takes any risks. At all! There's a lot I'd say no to (a bungee jump - OMG NO!), but this opportunity came up and I thought 'why not?' Why can't I be the sort of person who does the exciting stuff? Even if I never do it again, I can say that I've done one thing in my life that was big, and most importantly, the money I raise could make a massive difference to peoples lives.

So why this charity?

I've been following this charity for a while, and although I don't have a personal experience with the charity, it's one I really believe in and want to support in any way I can.

I don't think the aftermath of death is discussed enough, and where you can find support - and it's such an important factor in dealing with your own life, and moving on - especially for children who have suffered a loss - the support is very much needed. It breaks my heart to think of my son losing one of us and having to get by on his own.

So I have a target of £1,000 to raise between now and September - if I exceed that then I will be a very happy lady!
