Story
In June 2024 I will be taking part in the Eastbourne Olympic Triathlon. I’d like to take the opportunity to raise funds for the Epsom and St Helier charity. I feel incredibly grateful to hospital for the work they do and am indebted to the A&E team who saved my Dads life in October last year.
My dad was visiting my brother and niece and was complaining that he wasn’t feeling well with pain and tightness in his chest. My brother acted quickly and took Dad to A&E. As they were in the waiting room Dad collapsed, he was taken through and had a major heart attack. The doctors battled for 10 minutes or so with CPR and the defibrillator to bring him back. Through the quick actions of the A&E team they saved his life, had he not been surrounded by them at the time of the heart attack, he would have surely died. He has since made a full recovery and is enjoying life with us and spending lots of time with his granddaughter.
I would be grateful to anyone who can donate and help support the brilliant team at St Helier A&E!
