Like everyone else, we were deeply saddened by news of the major earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 that hit Gaziantep/Kahramanmaras provinces at 04:17 am (01:17 GMT) on 6 February 2023. It affected at least 10 provinces in southern Türkiye and was followed by multiple aftershocks with the highest being of magnitude 7.5.

We ask you to make a donation and come and see us perform live at Mycenae House, London SE3 at 8pm on Thursday 9th of March 2023.

On piano will be Kate Heath, who has performed internationally as a contemporary classical pianist. She will be joined by Jitin Patel and Andrew Valentine, who are the duo Toborknurd. Together they will create unique soundscapes featuring percussion such as tabla and darbuka, blended and manipulated to form rich tapestries of flowing music.

All donations will go to Turkey Mozaik Foundation, which has launched the Kahramanmaras Earthquake Emergency Relief Fund to support civil society organisations working on the ground to provide immediate relief and medium to long term recovery to survivors of the earthquake.
