Family Action is an award-winning national charity working from the heart of local communities across England and Wales. We’ve been supporting people through change, challenge and crisis for over 150 years.

Story

Two years ago, I knew nothing about adoption.

No friends, no family connected to it—just a vague idea that it was a nice way to give children a home.

I thought it was all good news.

How wrong I was.

Adoption isn’t always a happy ending—it’s a lifelong journey. It carries loss, identity struggles, and challenges most people never see.

I’ve learned about birth parents grieving, adoptees searching for belonging, and families trying to bridge gaps they never expected.

That’s why I’m running for PAC-UK. They support the real people affected by adoption and permanency arrangements - their pain, their healing, their hope.

PAC-UK (part of Family Action) provides services - counselling, therapeutic support, and education to those struggling with identity, loss, and the emotional impacts of adoption.

For many, it’s a lifeline—offering understanding, guidance, and a sense of belonging when they need it most.

Please consider supporting my run and helping PAC-UK reach those who need their support.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference! (not cliche!)

Thank you!
