Story

Another ‘please pay me for charity’ request? Well yes but I hope you’ll agree that this one has a couple of differences. First, I am raising money for a charity that has helped me personally, Bristol After Stroke. I had a stroke in 2020 and while I have been left relatively physically able, others fair less well. Plus, in 2024 I turn 60 and I want to do something for charity with a 60 theme. One of the important factors in my recovery has been cycling with friends in what we call the Church Lane Cranks, so my 2024 challenge will be to complete at least 60 rides averaging 60Km each, totalling 3600Km by New Year’s Eve. Many of those rides will be ‘Crank’ rides and some will be inside on a Watt bike and the distance will be tracked via Strava. I would be very pleased for anything you can contribute, and also happy if you want to wait until the total has been reached.

Thank you.
