You may be aware of my new hobby - cold water swimming or dipping.

This started in September 2024 when I agreed to Plunge for POW on 8 March 2024 in the Walpole Bay Tidal Pool in Margate.

What is POW or Power of Women Thanet?

POW’s Mission

To promote equality and diversity for the public benefit by:

Cultivating a sentiment favouring equality and diversity of women and girls.

Advancing education and raising general awareness among the public about the issues and challenges facing the lives of women and girls.

Promoting and staging an annual arts festival to commemorate International Women’s Day.

Each March since 2015, POW has run an Annual Festival, a tribute to International Women's Day and a celebration of the creativity of the women and non-binary individuals in Thanet.

They run events and projects for women and non-binary individuals in Thanet.

Many events are free or have a free option for people on lower incomes.
