Story

I will be walking 62 Miles in March for Refuge. On any given day, Refuge supports thousands of women and their children.

After the hardest 2 years of my life, I’m still trying desperately to find what to do next. Grief after unexpected and deep trauma is a complete deal breaker - everything changes and everyone sees you differently. I’d like to do something positive for a cause that matters so very much - one of the things James loved about me is that I’m a big supporter of other women and this is a way to support a great cause. James was an avid hill walker and completed all of the Scottish Munros (I only did about 10 in all the years we were together!!).

2 miles a day isn’t a mountain but when you feel like I do, it’s a challenge enough. A wee pic of us about to climb a mountain below seems like a million years ago. I’ve also added lots of other pics of us in the hills not looking our best, but really loving life together ❤️ there are also a couple of pics of us at our last festival and feeling the happiest on our most special and long awaited wedding day ❤️❤️ Please support this or any other cause that matters to you. Appreciate all the little stuff always ❤️❤️

Just £15 could provide essentials for a woman arriving at a refuge.

Many arrive with little more than the clothes they are wearing. Your donation could provide essentials like toiletries and food to help a woman through her first night.

Every £1 makes a difference. Thank you!
