In memory of Jillian Garner
The Cure CJD campaign has been set up by a group of individuals, personally affected by the disease, to support the work of researchers & doctors at the MRC Prion Unit at UCL and NHS National Prion Clinic at UCLH. We are a fund within UCLH Charity.

Story

On 21st April our son Sam will be running in the London Marathon 2024, in memory of his Auntie Jill and raising money for the Cure CJD Campaign, in his first official marathon event. He has been training long and hard and would very much appreciate your support and donations.

Jill was a fun-loving active 63 year old loved by many, who rapidly succumbed to this incurable disease over a period of a few months, prior to her death at the end of December 2023.

Help support us to find a cure for Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD). There is currently no cure but every day scientists and doctors are getting closer to finding a treatment. We aim to raise funds to support the use of an antibody drug developed for the treatment of patients with CJD. The first patient was treated at UCLH in October 2018.
