Story
We were shocked to learn most kids in the foster care system move from house to house through their 18 years, some being relocated more than 30 times! When they finally age-out, they lose all government support, and are left to navigate the world on their own. This often leads to homelessness and depression.
We found an amazing organization called a Sense of Home, which completely furnishes an apartment for a former foster youth (and in many cases, their own baby or toddler). We need to raise $8,000 to complete the project.Your support will enable us to transform empty walls and rooms into a fully furnished, functional place of joy for a deserving young adult. ONLY YOU CAN MAKE THIS MAGICAL EXPERIENCE A REALITY!
The most exciting part is that once the money is raised, the two of us get to go with our families and actually set up the new home. Then there’s a big reveal when we’re finished, and the recipient gets to come in and see their first forever home! Many of these kids have never even had their own bed so this is a life-changing experience for them.
