Fundraising for Manchester Foundation Trust Charity
On the 26th of May, we are running the Manchester Half Marathon to raise money for the Wythenshawe Hospital North West Lung Centre, in memory of our Grandad, Peter Johnson who sadly passed away on Thursday 25th May 2023.
Our Grandad was many things, including caring, witty, kind, patient (especially with our Nanna), and the list could go on, however, one thing he definitely was not keen and passionate about, and showed no motivation to do during the last few years, was exercise. He would happily sit in his chair all day watching Bargain Hunt, moaning at the football, and having a coffee with 2 ginger nuts. That was his idea of content. Who could blame him?
So for that reason, we thought why not do something that would have caused him to say “Wow, I just don’t get why, you’re really running how far?”.
We are raising money to help support Wythenshawe Hospital North West Lung Centre, which looked after our Grandad during his final week and continues caring for its patients daily.
To all our friends and family thank you for any donations you can give to support our journey!
