Story
On the weekend of the 18th May, we will be taking on the challenge of walking 100km across the Jurassic Coast. Starting at Corfe Castle and finishing in Bridport, we’ll walk through the nature reserves and across the cliffs.
This is one of the biggest challenges either of us have taken part in, with a time cap of 36hrs, it won’t be easy but be so worth it once we’ve achieved it and most importantly to raise money for such a worthy cause.
The reason we have chosen to take on this challenge is in memory of Jess’ best friend Charis, who sadly passed away in January 2022. Charis would have turned 30 in April this year and we couldn’t think of a more perfect way to celebrate her birthday and her love of massive walks!
In memory of Charis, we will be raising money for PAPYRUS - the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.
We’ll be thankful for any donations you can give and look forward to updating you about our challenge.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, every year over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.
Every £5 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
