Domestic abuse survivors www.domesticabusesurvivors.co.uk works along side those who have fled or experienced abuse. We work with Women, young people and children. The Director of the charity experienced Domestic Abuse for 7 years, once free and in recovery she decided to give something back and volunteered at a Domestic Abuse Refuge for 14 months, whilst setting up the service. She then registered Domestic Abuse Survivors and went on to aswell as run the charity, work with Young People in care and become a Sexual Assault Crisis worker working on the frontline. The deciated service has not only offered advice and Advocacy it has become a lifeline for some and really has changed lives! It has had so much support from local communities and professionals this is now the next step in helping the charity grow and reach more people who need that fresh start and may have lost all their belongings whilst fleeing abuse. We really look forward to seeing what 2020 brings!
