This May, I will be lacing up my running shoes once again and pushing myself both physically and mentally by taking on the AJ Bell 10K to raise money for St Paul’s Eye Hospital. This will be a real challenge for me, but one that is nothing compared to what my auntie and so many others have faced after being diagnosed with eye cancer.

In 2019, my auntie received this life-changing diagnosis, and St Paul’s was there for her every step of the way—providing expert care, treatment, and support during such a difficult time. Now, I want to give back and do my part to support the incredible work they do for patients and their families.

This run isn’t just about crossing the finish line; it’s about making a difference. Together, we can raise awareness, fund vital research, and show support for those affected by eye cancer. Every donation will go towards improving treatments and helping St Paul’s continue their life-changing work.

As a non runner for many years this will still be a challenge but I’m determined to do it—for my auntie, for others fighting this disease, and for a future where better treatments and cures exist.
