Story
Friends – September 25th is Legal Aid of North Carolina's Day of Giving. Legal Aid of NC provides free civil legal services to communities across the state including to survivors of domestic violence, children, seniors, people facing eviction, veterans, and farmworkers.
As many of you know, I am a staff attorney with the Immigration Pathways for Victims (IMMPAV) project. My team (IMMPAV) provides free legal representation to low-income immigrant survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking. My team helps immigrant survivors navigate our immigration laws to get work permits, lawful permanent residency, and ultimately on the path to citizenship. Our clients inspire me with their resilience, courage, and hope.
The work of our project is one part of the organization. I also see colleagues securing domestic violence protective orders, defending tenants against eviction, and helping veterans secure their benefits. Legal Aid of NC's mission impacts low-income families and individuals facing hardships around housing, safety, employment, education, and more. Please join me in making a gift today to ensure equal access to justice for all North Carolinians.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. I appreciate your generous support.
