Story
Thank you for donating towards Climbers Against Cancer!
Climbers against cancer was founded by John. John's story appeals to so many people to raise money after the known awareness of what John and many others are going through or experienced. John received the news most people will fear the words of: “Sorry to have to tell you this John but you have an advanced Cancer that is aggressive and to add to that you also have a secondary cancer.” A moment which John said made him realise he was 'terminally ill and my clock is ticking.' For John there was only one option and since the day of being told he kept on climbing, taking in the beauty around him and enjoyed every challenge that lied ahead him. He didn't let illness stop him from doing the things he loved. John knew how climbing brought people together, he said 'very few sports display this togetherness and it was at this point I realised that we are in fact an ‘extended family’. Remember those moments of happiness and joy when climbing because for John these were the precious memories motivated him to keep going, live the rest of his life to the fullest.
Climbers against cancer was set up to make a difference, to make a raise funds for the fight of cancer, research and cures to be found and discovered. John wrote his story at 4am in the morning on the 28th October 2012 'I conceived the idea for CAC. I haven’t altered anything since as it has a special meaning to me. It also serves as a reminder of how I embarked on this fabulous journey'. Ever since the organisation has been running and continues to spread hope.

All proceeds will be sent straight to Climbers against cancer where it will be spread to International Cancer Research Charities, all purposed to make a difference and help those who need it. Cancer is surprising it can appear with anyone at anytime, but by donating you are helping to support those who do receive the dreadful surprise.
In order to raise money a team of me and many other climbers are climbing the equivalent height of mount Everest on an indoor climbing wall. An ambitious aim but as John Ellison once said 'Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference' and we have the fighting attitude to achieve this goal, to make that big difference.
