Story
As many of you are aware, we sadly lost our dear Rob Crossland on February 22nd, 2023. Rob was truly unique, someone you encounter only once in a lifetime, and his boundless generosity knew no bounds.
On July 28th, 2018, after some gentle persuasion from Rob, Georgia, Tina, and I found ourselves jumping from the hills of Tenerife, paragliding all the way down to the beach. Rob insisted it was a fantastic idea—for us to take flight while he waited on the beach!
After a fabulous but very nerve-wracking day, we began discussing our next adventure. It became clear that the only way to surpass this experience was to jump from an aeroplane next time. We promised Rob that our next challenge would be just that.
Six years have passed, and we still haven’t fulfilled our promise, however, we believe the right time is now. On September 7th, 2024, after 2,233 days, we will honor our commitment to Rob by completing a skydive.
As Rob always reminded us, "rest is rust," and we are determined to finish what he started.
As part of our challenge, we would like to raise funds for Dougie Mac, a cause very close to our hearts. Dougie Mac played a large role towards the end of Rob’s life and he spent his final days in true Rob style, advocating and fundraising for the charity.
We can never match his strength, drive, and passion for helping people but we want to do our best to carry on supporting this incredible charity. We ask that you help us on this journey and spare whatever you can to support us in this challenge, and continuing Rob’s legacy. As he said, every pound counts and it truly makes a difference.
