Story
On Saturday 7th October 2023 I am walking on fire to raise money in memory of my beloved Mum who passed away in September following a brave and painful battle with cancer. During her illness, St Barnabas Hospice supported Mum physically and emotionally and provided support to my Dad which allowed him to care for Mum at home in a way no-one else would have been able to. Without their compassion this would not have been possible and they continue to support our family through our loss.
Oliver is walking on Lego and I am walking on fire - we sacrifice the soles of our feet for the compassionate souls of St Barnabas who do the most amazing work and need our help to ensure they can continue to support local families through terminal illness and loss.
I won't lie...I'm pretty nervous but think that maybe Oliver has the raw end of the deal here...?!
St Barnabas Hospice is a local independent charity who supports more than 10,500 people across Lincolnshire with a life-limiting or terminal illness each year. They deliver free, high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients, their families and carers. They aim to enable them to live as fully as they are able for however many days, weeks or months they have left.
They are reliant on the financial support the community provides, to be there for more patients, their families and carers, every day of the year.
