I will be taking on the lava trek through Iceland in September to raise money for Crisis, who are at the forefront of the fight against homelessness in the UK.

I recognise how lucky I am every day when I wake up in my warm bed, or I snuggle under my duvet when it gets cold outside, or I simply get to go home after a long day. To me a home is a basic human right, and it breaks my heart that so many people in this country do not have that.

The UK is the fifth richest country in the world, yet 227,000 families faced homelessness in 2022, and this figure is only increasing. This is unacceptable, and I want to do my part to contribute to the wonderful work that Crisis do.

This is a HUGE challenge as it will require me to walk over 19km per day for 3 days. Follow me over the next few months as I train, body and mind. I’ll be documenting my progress on Facebook and TikTok (@jessrigby) and please donate what you can to this very worthy cause.
