Story
I will be running the Kew Gardens Half Marathon on Sunday 30th March 2025 in support of this charity that is very close to my heart. I have been volunteering in their service for adults with HIV weekly for over 2 and a half years. I have seen how much this charity means to the thousands of people they support- it is an incredible community, providing holistic, trauma-informed care. Funding cuts have meant that our weekly HIV service has had to be temporarily suspended, so we're rallying together to raise funds to keep this amazing service running.
I would appreciate any donations so much! If you are interested in the cause and looking for a challenge, please also consider becoming a member of our 250 club- we are trying to get as many people as possible to sign up to raise £250 (or multiples thereof) for the charity. It's a relatively achievable target, but really stacks up the more people get involved! Some ideas for raising money could be setting up an event like a bake sale, dinner party or quiz night; doing a challenge (sporting or otherwise); or just asking around for donations. Please feel free to message me to discuss, or just sign up to be a fundraiser at the charity's page: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/two-fifty-club

Body & Soul is a multi-award-winning charity, transforming the life-threatening effects of trauma and childhood adversity in people of all ages across the nation.
The impact of trauma is severe and pervasive: 1 in 3 diagnosed mental health conditions in adulthood and 5 of the top 10 causes of death are directly associated with trauma.
Body & Soul provides support to multiple disadvantaged communities who have experienced complex trauma. Whether someone has been neglected or abused, stigmatised because of HIV or attempted suicide - we've helped liberate thousands of people from the trauma that controls them.
