Story
Family Nursing & Home Care (FNHC) has been selected as Jersey Post’s chosen charity for 2024, following a staff vote taken in November of last year.
Rosemarie Finley, Chief Executive Officer at the Jersey-based charity, said: "Family Nursing and Home Care are thrilled to have been nominated as Jersey Post's chosen charity for 2024. FNHC has over 100 years of experience in providing care across Jersey. We provide expert prenatal and parental care; and we support children, young people, families and the members of our community who need healthcare or support in their homes. Our services range from the Baby Steps programme, Community Children Nursing, School Nursing, District Nursing, Health Visiting, Home Care, Rapid Response and Reablement, Palliative Care and end of life care. There are a lot of similarities between our organisations - we both play a central role in our local community and we are very much looking forward to working together in 2024 to raise funds and awareness for FNHC."
Mark Siviter, CEO at Jersey Post, said: “We are thrilled to support FNHC this year and the vital work that they do with community healthcare and families. Supporting and connecting islanders is at the heart of everything we do at Jersey Post. We strive to make a meaningful impact on our community, and are excited to give something back to this incredibly important local cause. We’ve been fundraising for Jersey charities for over 10 years, and we have a great programme of activities planned by our in-house Charity Committee over the next 12 months to help raise awareness and funds, which we will announce shortly.”
Since 2013, Jersey Post has committed a year of fundraising to multiple local charities including the Jersey Child Care Trust, Headway Jersey, Macmillan Jersey, Jersey Alzheimer’s Association, Jersey Cheshire Home, Les Amis, JSPCA, H4HJ and Mind Jersey raising over £135,000 in total and increasing awareness of these charities through a variety of individual, team and company-wide initiatives.
