Story

I am running the London Marathon 2025 to raise money for Spinal Research! If you are donating to this fundraiser, my guess is you already know my story - or rather OUR story. If not, welcome - my partner suffered a SCI Injury just over 5 years ago that forever changed our lives. For 5 years while we aggressively take on every opportunity for physical or occupational therapy, we are slowly held in the starting gate for SCI medical treatments that potentially cure and rejuvenate full mobility. This organization is relentless in their pursuit for advancing medical research and technologies to do just that.

Someone sustains a spinal cord injury every four hours in the UK. Living with an SCI often means a lifetime of health and care costs, as well as the threat of secondary healthcare complications.

Spinal Research is the UKs leading medical charity focused on the repair and restoration of the spinal cord, and we exist to beat paralysis.

Spinal Research do not receive governmental funding; all projects are funded by donations.

With your help, we can #CureParalyis.
