Story
I am one of nine local businesspeople who have been put behind bars for Maggie's. I've been found guilty of being known by colleagues as the munchy American - I can get hangry if not well fed! I've been sent down with bail set at £1,500.
Having traded in my freedom for Maggie's, With only my phone, laptop and my powers of persuasion, the challenge I face is to call on the collective goodwill of my network to raise funds for Maggie's Highlands. My freedom & reputation depend on it!
"It’s been my pleasure to get to know the Maggie’s Highland team over the past 10+ years in my role at Cabot Highlands and our annual Maggie’s Golf Day. Seeing and hearing the remarkable work that our local Maggie’s centre does for the community first hand, it can really only make you want to help where you can. The opportunity to be a part of Jail or Bail sounded like good fun, really looking forward to having a laugh and raising vital funds for Maggie’s!!"
Maggie's Highlands has approached local business leaders and entrepreneurs and ask if they would be prepared to be locked up for Maggie's. To their delight they agreed, and here we are today. All of the courageous jail birds have been charged with outrageous fictitious crimes and are now in cuffs and behind bars.
Jail or bail is sure to be fun for everyone involved, but let's not forget the important reason behind the event: to raise funds to support people with cancer.
Thank you
