Story

Thank you for choosing to support the Salivary Gland Cancer UK charity. They are a charity for those with rare salivary gland cancers such as Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma which is what Loren was diagnosed with in 2019.

Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC)

ACC is one of the more common types of salivary gland cancer. About one in ten of all salivary gland cancers are ACC. ACCs are difficult to cure with surgery or radiotherapy. This type of cancer has a high risk of returning later in life even with successful surgery. ACC is most likely to spread to the lungs, but it can spread to anywhere within the body.

Sadly for Loren, it did spread into her lungs. She found it increasingly difficult to breathe and needed constant oxygen before she peacefully passed away at The Severn Hospice on Thursday 6th March 2025.

Your donation will go towards life changing research to help others like Loren fighting ACC.
