Story

This November, I will be running the Athens Authentic Marathon with my brother on behalf of WellChild, the UK's national charity for sick children. The charity's work is focused on ensuring seriously ill children and those with complex health conditions or long-term care needs have the best possible quality care and support.Through a range of practical and emotional support, programs, and training, WellChild gives these children and their families the best chance to thrive. At home.

Each donation will play a significant role in funding WellChild programs such as the WellChild Children’s Nurses and Helping Hands. WellChild Children's Nurses play a crucial role in ensuring children can leave the hospital and be cared for at their home, reducing the practical, emotional, and financial impact on their families. The charity also operates Helping Hands, a home improvement program which, with the support of volunteer teams from local companies and organizations, provides home and garden improvements to make the home suitable for the children’s needs.

The Duke of Sussex Prince Harry is the charity’s Patron. His support makes a huge impact in raising public awareness of WellChild’s invaluable work.
