Story
Laura was my friend and colleague. She was brave, beautiful, kind and generous. Above all she loved and was loved. Throughout Laura’s illness, I baked her a weekly loaf of bread and I helped with the chemo trips. Small, practical acts of love both in the giving and receiving that gave me purpose amid the enormity of Laura’s cancer. When I felt sad and helpless, I ran. Despite her illness and the restrictions it placed on her own activity, Laura never stopped asking about my running and never ceased to take joy in my stories of running adventures.
In Laura’s memory I am embarking on a year of fund raising for St Luke’s by running Sheffield half marathon ( you can sponsor me on JustGiving) and through making and giving a weekly loaf of bread in return for a donation to St Luke’s, with a project called Laura’s Loaf which many friends and family are already supporting❤️

It’s all in honour of my wonderful friend whose strength and courage is my inspiration on every run.
Every sponsor on my JustGiving page has a chance to win a Laura’s Loaf, so please give generously and visit Laura’s tribute page above to see what you could be enjoying.
