Here I go again with my funky snorkel…..

On the 6th July I will be swimming 6km down the Avon estuary in Devon from Aveton Gifford to Bantham in an event known as The Bantham Swoosh.

I’ve been sea swimming all winter in just my bathers but only for 10-15 minutes because it’s been pretty darned chilly. Now my serious sea training has started and I’m going to have to get a wiggle on to get fit enough for 6km - gulp! Fingers crossed that the weather stays good and the sea stays calm whilst I’m doing this!

I’m raising money for the charity Level Water so that children with disabilities can enjoy the water as much as I do.

Level Water use the power of swimming to improve lives for children with disabilities. Surely everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim and fall in love with the water.
