Jen’s gone abseil-utely crazy!

KPMG Abseil Day 1 · 17 September 2024 ·
As some of you may already know, I lost my absolute legend of a Grandad almost a year ago today. He was my best friend (and partner in banter!) and I miss him terribly.
While we knew that the time was coming, nothing could have prepared us for the horrendous end-of-life care he would receive while in hospital. We were with him every day and did what we could as a family to bridge the gap, but not a day goes by where I don't think about how much more he deserved. Sadly this isn't an isolated incident, as one in four people in the UK die without the care and support they need. That's where Marie Curie comes in.
Marie Curie not only provides essential care and support to patients and their families, but they campaign tirelessly to change the system and end the unfair postcode lottery of end-of-life care. To help raise funds for these real-life superheroes, I've decided to to do something a little different...
On the 17th September, I am going to abseil down the KPMG Canary Wharf building in fancy dress. "What will you wear?" I hear you ask. Well, that's up to you. For those kind and generous enough to donate, please leave your fancy dress request (the more ridiculous, the better!) in the message box. I'll then put all of the suggestions in a hat and pick one at random. Photographic evidence will be provided so don't pass up the opportunity to contribute to my humiliation. You could force me to wear a Spurs shirt (shudder - please don't) or make an office worker think they're hallucinating as a Minion abseils down the side of the building. The possibilities are endless and will raise money for a truly amazing cause.
Thanks so much in advance for your support. It's so appreciated.
