Story
In memory of Oli Juste and to mark two years since his sudden passing, a team of us will be walking the South Coast Ultra Challenge of 100km to raise funds for Mayhew's 'Lasting Love' Campaign and the recently opened Oli Juste Wing. Mayhew's animal welfare preventative work encourages people to change their attitudes and behaviours towards animals in a positive way. Oli was a huge supporter of this through his work in dog training & the behavioural sector and through his work with Mayhew.
The 'Lasting Love Campaign': keeping pets and people together to raise vital funds for their London clinic, which every day works to keep pets and people together by providing preventative veterinary care to the companions of pet owners who could not otherwise afford it, free of charge and without judgment – but which is struggling to meet surging demand.
£1,500 would provide full veterinary care for 7 dogs and cats, rescued for rehoming for the duration of their stay with us.
£2,000 would provide vaccinations for 48 dogs and cats, ensuring these pets are safe from potentially life-threatening diseases.
£5,000 would ensure 50 dogs and cats and neutered, resulting in their improved health and preventing unwanted litters.
£7,500 would cover the entire cost to run Mayhew for a day.
This campaign feels a special way to remember Oli, whose commitment to the human-animal bond was an inspiration to us all. Through the campaign, Mayhew hope to reach even more pets whose owners cannot afford essential preventative veterinary treatment.
