Story
Hi everyone,
I'm thrilled (and a bit nervous!) to share that I'm participating in (A Little Less) Strictly Come Dancing to support The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, a cause very close to my heart. Every bit of care and support during difficult times can have an immense impact on patients and their families.
In the coming months, I'll be working hard to learn a ballroom dance routine with my incredibly talented partner and choreographer, Frederico. We’ll then take to the dance floor on Saturday 16th March 2024 at the Hilton Glasgow, in front of an audience filled with judges, hosts, and professionals to compete for the Glitter Ball Trophy! It's not just about the dance – it's a tribute to those bravely facing life-limiting illnesses.
I've pledged to raise at least £3,000, and I'm reaching out to ask for your support. Every donation, big or small, helps provide vital care and brings us closer to our goal.
Here’s how your donations can help:
• £16 pays for a patient’s meals for a day in the In Patient Unit
• £25 pays for materials for use in the Hospice Art room for a day
• £46 pays for a visit by our Specialist Community Nursing Team. Helping a patient to stay at home with their family.
• £75 pays for 1.5 – 3 hr rehabilitation session. Helping patients maintain independence, quality of life and well-being.
• £160 funds an ambulance for a day, providing more access to services
• £325 funds specialist nurses for a day
• £840 pays for the Young Adult Transition Clinic for a day
• £950 pays to run the Living Well service for a day
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. I'll be sharing updates of our dance preparations along the way.
Every step will be in honor of your support and the incredible work of the hospice. Let's make a difference together!
With thanks,
Jennifer
