Story

As a domestic abuse survivor, RISE is a charity close to my heart.

I am pushing myself to run the Brighton Half Marathon on Sunday 2 March to raise as much money as possible for this Sussex-based domestic abuse charity.

RISE has worked for 30 years to end all forms of violence and abuse against women, their families and those identifying as LGBTQ+.

RISE stands for Refuge, Information, Support and Education; its strategic mission is: freedom from abuse and violence.

RISE provides wrap-around services for adults and children on their recovery journey, following experiences of domestic abuse.

Its essential services include specialist one-to-one therapy, therapeutic survivor groups, an LGBTQ+ refuge, work with children and families, as well as community engagement projects.

I would be grateful for any donation received. 💜
