Story
The Albion Foundation Sleep Out is back for 2024!
One of our most popular fundraising events of the year, join us for a night under the stars on Friday, March 22, 2024, as we bed down for a night's sleep at The Hawthorns.
Supporters are invited to spend a night in the stands at the Shrine, in an effort to raise awareness of homelessness in our local area and raise funds to support the Albion Foundation.
Running for its third consecutive year, the Sleep Out is part of a longer-term project between The Albion Foundation and West Bromwich Albion Football Club to help tackle homelessness in the local area, with over 80 sleepers taking part in last year's event, raising over £15,500 in vital funds.
Participants will stay in the Smethwick End, with entertainment throughout the evening before we all settle down for the night, with performances from a football freestyler and a musician scheduled in.
Jonathan Ward, Deputy Director at The Albion Foundation, said: "The Sleep Out is always a really important event in helping raise awareness of the homeless and vulnerable within our local community.
"Everyone is welcome at the Sleep Out - whether you'll be taking part as an individual or with your family, everyone is invited to join us for the event. It was fantastic to be joined by Eaton Valley Primary School last year, with Year 6 pupils braving the cold to raise money for a fantastic cause."
All sleepers will need to raise a minimum of £25 in sponsorship, with all proceeds helping The Albion Foundation support the community of Sandwell.
Sleep Out 2024 will begin at 19:00pm on Friday, March 22 and run until 7:00am the next day. If you have any queries about the event, please email events@albionfoundation.co.uk
From Jennie - This is my third year doing the sleep out 🙌👌I am doing it with Tracy Lloyd & Emma Holman and it is their first time.
I thought it would be wonderful to do it in memory of Jennifer Lloyd, Tracy’s wife who was a diehard Baggie bird who passed away in August 2023💙🤍💕 I will also be doing this in memory of my Great Uncle, Colin Doswell who passed away Boxing Day 2023 at 87 and was a lifelong Baggie (reunited with his wife, parents and siblings including my Grandad Peter) 💙🤍💕
Please sponsor us it’s all for a worthy charity 👌🫶
