Forest and Georgie’s fundraiser for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity

In November 2023, baby Forest entered the world. However, within moments of his birth, doctors discovered that he had an extremely rare and life-threatening condition called tracheo-oesophageal fistula and oesophageal atresia. This diagnosis came as a complete shock, as there had been no signs or indications during pregnancy. On day 1, Forest underwent emergency surgery to save his life. While the operation was successful, Forest will require additional surgeries throughout his life, though when these will be needed remains uncertain. Forests mum and dad are eternally grateful to the medical team who saved their son and continue to provide exceptional care, and they are determined to raise money for the incredible charity that supports families like theirs.
In December 2023, Georgie was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma—a devastating diagnosis for her and her family. Thankfully, she is now showing no evidence of disease, but her journey has been one of immense strength and courage. Throughout her treatment and recovery, Georgie has been passionately raising funds for the hospital that cared for her and remains forever thankful for their unwavering support.
Jenna (Forest’s mum) and Lynn (Georgie’s mum) who were already friends and live in the same area, were ward neighbours and met during hospital stays while they navigated the heartbreak and uncertainty of their children’s conditions. Some days, it was too hard to even speak, but knowing the other was there brought a quiet comfort. They became a source of strength for each other, always ready with a hug when words weren’t enough.
We are coming together to celebrate our brave, beautiful children and to give back to the charity that has been a lifeline for both families. Your donations will help this wonderful cause continue to provide life-saving care and vital support for children and their families.
