Story
LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.

My story…
My first introduction to LOROS was in 2010 when we sadly lost my Grandad Bob.
Then in March 2020 when we sadly lost my Auntie Di who actually worked for LOROS for over 20 years and helped thousands of patients🥰. This was when my relationship with LOROS was forged. I saw first hand the quality of care, support and dignity that LOROS provided and I pledged then along with other family members to fundraise for this wonderful special charity.
I have already skydived, ran a half marathon, ran 5k a day for 30 days and carbooted for LOROS.
Four years on our family recieved another devastating blow when on 18th April 2024 my Auntie Deb was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel and liver cancer. On 19th April Auntie Deb was taking part in the LOROS strictly come dancing event in memory of her sister Diane. She was determined she was still going to dance, and that she did 🤩 but she didn’t want anyone to know her sad news before hand. On July 18th we sadly lost Auntie Deb in LOROS.
These two incredibly strong, determined, courageous and kind ladies will be my inspiration in my preparation and the actual running of the London Marathon 2025.
No amount of fundraising will ever be enough to thank LOROS for their outstanding care and support but with the generosity of my family and friends we can do our bit towards ensuring LOROS can carry on providing this high level of care for other families who may sadly need them.
Please give what you can and thank you with much love in anticipation
