Story

UPDATE!**

WE DID IT! Ben walked 15k and Jenna walked the full 30K!

Thanks to the incredible support of and generousity of everyone who donated. We're deeply grateful for the overwhelming response and the impact it will have on Talitha Arts.

While our Big Give target has been met (over £10k!), we are just shy of reaching our JustGiving target of £500. We're only £55 away - every contribution counts, so please consider donating if you can to help us reach our goal!

-----------------

We are thrilled to be participating in the Footsteps for Freedom walk to raise money for Talitha Arts, a charity that is close to our hearts for so many reasons. Talitha uses the power of the therapeutic arts, including drama, music, movement and visual art, to enable transformation in those in need of mental health support. We have seen firsthand how Talitha transforms lives.

For the past 5 years, Jenna has been involved with Talitha Arts, first as a volunteer practitioner and now as the Artistic Executive Director. We are incredibly passionate about Talitha's life changing workshops, and believe that there is no cause more deserving.

This walk holds special significance for both of us. Over the past 6 months, Ben has been struggling with an undiagnosed condition that has greatly impacted his health and day-to-day life. During this challenging time, two things have been therapeutic and transformative: daily walks in nature and embracing creativity through his new adventure, a sound producing course. Embracing creativity through the course, has given him an outlet for self-expression and a sense of purpose.

Walking in nature has provided solace and rejuvenation. It has allowed us to connect with ourselves and find peace amidst some of life's challenges. So we want to use our daily walks to make a difference and change the lives of those impacted by trauma through enabling them to express themselves through creativity.

We couldn't think of a more deserving cause that perfectly reflects what has been so transformative for us - walking in nature and embracing creativity. That's why we are committed to walking 30k (Jenna) and aiming for 15k (Ben) along the Thames path to raise funds for Talitha's Footsteps for Freedom walk.

Every penny donated will go towards supporting Talitha Arts' incredible transformative workshops that benefit vulnerable people through the creative arts. Your donation will make a direct impact on someone's life.
