Dexter is 8 years old and lives in Warlingham, Surrey. He is a wonderful, happy, cheeky, life loving boy. He loves buses, exploring the world around him and most of all his family. Unfortunately, Dexter suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

DMD is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys. DMD is a genetic disease that causes muscle weakness and wasting. It is caused by a fault, known as a mutation, on the dystrophin gene. Dystrophin is a protein that protects muscles; without it, muscles are easily damaged, and their strength and function is weakened. It eventually affects all the muscles in the body, including the heart and lungs. Life expectancy is mid 20s.

Doing it for Dexter supports Duchenne UK, a charity that has one clear aim: to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development.

We want to raise as much money as possible for Duchenne UK to continue on their journey to find more treatments for this condiiton.

A donation of £1 will provide you with one ticket. DO NOT make your entry Anonymous, we will not be able to include you in the draw if you do not put your name.

Entries will close on Saturday 1st February at 11:59pm and it will be drawn on Sunday 2nd February in a live stream and results will be published here on Justgiving. Winners will be contacted to arrange collection/delivery of their prizes.
