South Coast Mighty Hike 2025 - full marathon · 7 June 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Hello dear friends and family. My "Bonne Maman" Gabrielle (my French grandmother) died from breast cancer almost 50 years ago when I was only 5, (goodness me this makes me feel old!). I remember her vividly despite my young age, and I remember her suffering and medicating too...
Almost half a century later (god I REALLY feel old now!) I am surrounded by so many friends and family who have to live and fight the same battle that is breast cancer, some much younger than I and certainly much younger than my grandmother was.
Breast cancer is still the leading cause of death among women today.
It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
I believe there hasn't been a more important to support them however we can, after all, it could be us some day....
So in June 2025, I will challenge myself to take on the "South Coast Mighty Hike" (about 15 miles) on the Sussex Coast from Alfriston to help raise money for people living with breast cancer (I'm going to have to work on my fitness very soon!)
I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach my £250 pledge or more, this can pay for Macmillan Nurse for one day. It could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.
Thank you for your precious support andndonations xx
